Clients lose connectivity with Traffic Shaper

Post by Amer Rehman »

Hi,

I have 9 clients intended to be shared via ICS through a server connected to an ADSL router. The router connects at 256 Kbps. The server has two adapters - i.e one connecting to lan and other to router. This is the one whose internet is shared. Problem is that after restarting the server clients lose connectivity with server with no browsing. I have checked all the documentaion of Microsoft regarding to ICS problems but to no avail. Can anyone help me.

Thanks

Have you tried an ipconfig /release followed by /renew to make sure they have an active IP address lease?

ICS..even from a server...unless you need the server dual homed for something like ISA or another proxy..why not single home the server and have clients get out through the router?
