A 16-year-old girl has given birth to triplets in Argentina - for the second time.
The girl, named only as Pamela, had her first set of triplets aged 15, having already had a son at just 14.
Both sets of triplets are all girls and were born prematurely, reports the BBC.
Doctors say the three newborns and their mother are well, but the case has sparked debate across Argentina.
Pamela's family already receives help from the provincial authorities, which donated land and built them a house when the first set of triplets was born.
Pamela's mother, who cleans houses to support her daughter and grandchildren, says they will now seek more assistance from the government.
Some Argentines are arguing that perhaps what Pamela needs is more advice on contraception.
The teenager, who will be 17 on Monday, comes from the remote town of Leones in the central Argentine province of Cordoba.

Way to blame the girl in an undeveloped 3rd world remote village.xekushnr wrote:I'd be damn pissed if my tax money was going to give this ***** a check because she cant keep her legs closed. Why should everyone else have to pay if she's too stupid to use a condom?
You think she wants to **** every man in town?
Men can use them too. Remember, it gets rolled on your ****. There are a lot of stubborn ****ers out there that refuse to use them. Coming from that country, I see that happening.xekushnr wrote:I'd be damn pissed if my tax money was going to give this ***** a check because she cant keep her legs closed. Because that's the way we do thing in the USA.xekushnr wrote:Why should everyone else have to pay?
If something happened to you (like you got impregnated by a golden retriever) then as a US tax payer, I'd pay for your mistake. Would I like it? No. Would I do it? Yes.
You'd do the same for me wouldn't you?
People will forget what you said... and people will forget what you did... but people will never forget how you made them feel.
Unless she was raped she choose to have unprotected sex. I'm not saying she is the only one at fault, but if she slept with a dude who refused to wear a condom she deserves whatever she picks up, whether it is a baby, an STD or both.Debbie wrote:Men can use them too. Whoever the father is is also a douche if he refused to wear a condom.
Both sets of parents should have done a better job raising their kids and teaching them how to have protected sex if they wanted to have sex before being ready to raise babies. Cause she hasn't learned how to close her legs and he hasn't learned to keep his **** in his pants.

Really it's not much of a story except for having triplets twice.
Good grief people, understand it's a third world country where having babies at 14 isn't unheard of at all.
Most of you have great grandparents who had kids by age 16 and it wasn't frowned upon at the time.
As to condems. It's a third world country. Maybe they were available. Maybe not.

I don't care about the age and I don't care about condoms nor where it is. I just believe if you can't afford to have kids don't have kids. If you are living a ****** life why would you wanna drag someone down with you. I don't feel sorry for the girl (well a lil bit), I don't feel sorry for the father, I don't feel sorry for the granny. I feel sorry for the kids who will suffer due to their parents ignorance.downhill wrote:Really it's not much of a story except for having triplets twice.

Doesn't matter where you are from, 3rd world to 1st world don't give misery an avenue to grow.
I practice this myself. I have sex and I always use a condom cause I'm not ready for kids. I could probably support one child if I had too right now, but I'm not ready for kids yet.

Yeah I know it isn't, they don't have access to the same resources we do and the way their world works is quite different then ours. But this type of "stupidity" doesn't just happen in 3rd world countries which we are all also aware of. Still the excuse of I didn't have access to a condom grows weak after the first couple kids, if that is the excuse she would be using.downhill wrote:Cho, I'm only saying that life in a third world country isn't like in an industrial country.
While I agree that babies should never be brought into the world unless the parents are ready for them, that's not the reality of it.

In our world she probably has the choice to make a yes or no answer.*cho* wrote:Yeah I know it isn't, they don't have access to the same resources we do and the way their world works is quite different then ours. In her world she might not.
If she can't say yes or no it is rape, and like I said above.Humboldt wrote:In our world she probably has the choice to make a yes or no answer.

unless she was raped

If that is the case then it is rape. Just cause it isn't a crime doesn't change the fact.Debbie wrote:It's a man's world there. If she said no to her man, he would end up beating the crap out of her. Look at how the rape laws have evolved over here. In the US and Canada a man didn't have to seek consent to have sex with his wife. If he wanted sex he could take it whenever he wanted it. You try that now and you'll end up in jail.
Or look at date rape. That law has only been around since what early 80s or late 80s?

I agree with you Cho, but no matter what label you put on it, it is not helping her.*cho* wrote:If that is the case then it is rape. Just cause it isn't a crime doesn't change the fact.

Deb has a good point....many people here are applying American standards to their opinion on this.
Even if it were in the US....it may not have been her choice, one client of mine is a Womens Center....I have to go their hidden shelter buildings....I see women that come from some pretty bad situations..it's aweful to see what happens to them. (translation...physically abused, mentally abused, battered). Breaks my heart sometimes when I go there ...I'll see women whos body language shows a true fear of men..they'll avoid contact, look down at the floor when they see me, sometimes jump with a quick reaction of fear when they see a man in the room, turn to avoid you in the hallways, etc.
Not knowing the womans situation....I won't pass judgement. She may have chosen to "give in" to the guy...rather than have her head put through the wall or spend the evening curled up on the floor getting her ribs kicked in.
