MN, sound like the truck got stuck in snow, and transfered. The truck might have broken down, but still, transfer to another truck. Now it's the driver. He's been driving a lot, so we have to figure that in our world, he went home and got some sleep=safer roads.

So we have to make an ass out of you and me, that it is now a new driver.

I guess you can't pull up credentials on all the drivers handling your package right now. There is an internet you know?

I don't even know what the package is. I had a friend that had to wait eight months so his custom electronic autococker trigger system (Paintball Marker Part) from norway, cause customs did not know what it was.

Good thing is was not the oranges for the magic punch. :thumb:

they are not the only ones with shipping "wtf" i work at Whirlpool Tulsa Division... we make 30" freestanding ranges... all different makes n models... if i order a range, watch it being made, and watch it go down the conveyor into the distribution center... i wont see it for another week or two... they will put it on a truck with 129 other ranges and send it off to St. louis, Mo. next, they will load it onto another truck with various items like microwaves, hood vent kits, dishwashers ect ect.... then it will come back to tulsa and sit on the very dock it was on 2 weeks ago waiting for me to drive around back and pick it up...
wacky huh?

Hell, we ship worldwide with UPS, USPS, and FedEx.
I think the worst we've seen was a package we sent to someone on the esat coast. Never received, resent the product and filed a claim with UPS as they pretty much said they lost it.

We got the package back 1 year later, still unopened :D

I shipped a item sold here in the classifieds to Canada (Which I'll never do again) through USPS..well the guy emails me yesterday saying the package arrived but it was wrapped in plastic and no item inside. Now what I can't understand is why the mail carrier to the buyers location didn't stop and say "Hey we only have the package we must have lost your item I'll see what I can do" they just drop off whats left and he's left hanging. So now I have to try to deal with a claim on the issue (the seller) during my time when it left here in perfect condition and packaged well. The money is spent and I don't give refunds on anything I sell on forums or ebay...so you can guess who's going to get screwed by USPS here its just a shame though to have to deal with this.

well I've never run into a shipping issue before, and everything I've shipped that I've sold on any forums or ebay has always arrived in perfect condition. I'm just getting the impression i'm the one that will get screwed here when I sold in good faith. The shipping company should be dealing directly with the shipping destination not the origin in which it was shipped cause when it left here everything was perfect. Not to mention how are you going to prove it didn't arrive fine and the buyer isn't trying to get money back and keep the item therefore defrauding the shipping company...you just don't know so the shipper(me) shouldn't have to worry about this.

Yeah, definitely a crappy situation for all involved. It's amazing that the packaging made it but not the contents... So weird...

I did use UPS. Because it's being delivered to a PO Box, they hand it over to USPS to make the final leg and delivery. UPS did great until they handed it to the USPS in Atlanta, it then decided to make a little trip north for some unknown reason. :)

I work at Sam's Club in the Tire center. We do a lot of special orders. you wouldnt believe how many times fedex (from goodyear or dunlop) and UPS (michelin and bf goodrich) will throw 1 tire on the wrong truck or lose a tire. like we'll order 4 of one tire, and receive 3. i call goodyear or michelin to see where the 4th one is and they give me a tracking number, and half the time they end up across the country (we get our tires from a local hub only 60 miles away) or just completely lost. I mean, how do you get 4 of the exact same tires, which are fairly big objects, and throw ONE on the wrong truck.

do they do it for fun just to piss us off? i think so

Hell, they're just the shippers
I got a shipment Friday from a company...big supplier of stuffed dog toys, feeder sets, etc...

What we received was a back order from 10/31/07, with a big shipping charge as it was below a given dollar value.

We've received the same product that was on the back order TWICE already since then, now out of the blue they decide to finally ship us this stuff that we already have plenty of :irate:

funny.

oh ya, as far as extra stuff goes.... we ordered some parts from snap-on for our machines. well they ended up being the wrong parts so we sent an email to our corporate to return them. he issues a Purchase order for a negative number so we can return them. well snap-on saw just a number and RESENT the parts. and it happened again with a different part too. we've been shooting emails back and fourth for like 2 months now trying to get this crap returned and we keep getting more stuff that we dont need!
