Samsung, basically the same monitors and similar price, samsung warranty is 3 years to gateways 1 year.

Hey ctodd, in your two choices I will choose the Samsung 245BW, Samsung did better in monitors, but I think you can have a look at the Dell E248WFP also, with 1920 x 1200,5ms time,1000:1 contrast ratio. Dell E248WFP got nice comments. And as far as I know the price is quite nice now only $375.
