need info on upgrading memory

can someone please tell me how to buy the proper memory stick for my computer i want a 128 stick and i dont know how to go about getting the right one
i called gateway where i got the computer and they wouldnt tell me what # or how to idenify my memory to be able to buy from someone else other than them i really really need more memory for my q3 game and otheres

I feel for you shaka_kann. why don;t you call an online memory retailer or goto their site. I think Gateway needs specific memory for their systems. Dont quote me on that little brother. Here is a suggestion of site: www.memman.com
