New PC build
A buddy of mine wants to build anew PC. Can you guys recommend some good hardware. He's looking at a EVGA 680i A1 MB. I havent did any research on it yet. So help a brotha out and give me some good advice

Thats about 1250 right there, plus Vista Home premium can be had for 112 bucks more if you need it, that still gives you room for a case and CD/DVD drives.
Could drop down to the next CPU and a different PSU, plus springing a bit more for a 8800GTX card, but that wouldnt be a bad system there for gaming.

Ya, same here....I'm running my C2D E6600 at stock and it's still more than enough horsepower for anything out there.YARDofSTUF wrote:Will he overclock it or keep it stock?
Quad cores are nice, I sure as hell want one. But for a casual user with some gaming I would rather have a higher clocked dual core cpu.
