How cheap?
The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, and prejudices to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own for the children and the children yet unborn and the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.

I got these as a cheap replacement a few years ago. Use them everyday and haven't quit yet and sound good too.

I think they are fantastic. Had a few people use them as well and they also commented on how good they sounded.

I got them for 10 bucks brand new with the old google coupon and a buy.com sale.

If your room is quiet, you probably don't need noise cancelling. I can't really comment though on how good they sound one way or another.

Either of them first two would probably be fine if your just using them for gaming and listening to music off your puter.

It seems liek all the big ones that cover your ear advertise noise cancelling now. I went to best buy and circuit city too look at some but they sell ****.

Leaning towards the ones shaggy mentioned, though I do like the JVC one too.

It'll be for PC listening and CD player listening.

I have now taken the sony ones apart and have just the 2 ear pieces separated, cut the wire going between both ear pieces and the one with the cord works, gonna strip the wire and see if i can get both working lol

Can't recommend the ATH-A500's enough, use them for both games and music. The sound quality and imaging are impeccable for the price, sturdy cord, and comfy as heck even after a few hours of use.

Ok well i couldnt make it work by reconnecting the wires, the wire connection inside the headphone broke, found that out after I tried connecting them and then opened up the right ear piece.

I have to say other than the cheap plastic that lets the earpieces bend into the hoop, they are made very well.

Just got them, seems the elastic thing is a bit tight to start off, pulls them up a bit, but I'm sure that will wear down.

Sound quality is good for the price, not quite as rich and deep as the sonys were but its much closer than I thought it would be. I may seal off the vents on the ear pieces to see if that improves them even more lol

They lasted well for what I spent on them, but my Icemat Siberia(Now called Steel Series Sibera) headphones just died on me.

Not in the mood to spend 90 bucks on the newer improved version, so I found a pair of JVCs for cheap. Hopefully no storms come in that really mess up shipping times.
