ITS NOT BF2!!! LOLIzzo wrote:Ya, but now i'm really kinda bummed that this will turn into some bunny hopping mixture of CS:S, BF2 and Farcry.
and the jumping ability and other abilities you see in that video is part of the game and needed.. you have to remember the game has you on a island, with a alien shield around its ship in which inside is a ice type world on the outside is tropical, your fighting the other army and aliens so you need the special things to get the stuff done!

I trust Crytek will really step it up with this game to make sure its top notch...they have already pushed it back again till Aug for a release date.
I think its enhancements such as special suits or boots that counter the gravity so the players can do more and make the game more interesting.. I'm sure everything will be countered against everything else as long as DICE doesn't get a hold to anything.. ya gotta remember this isn't BF2 and to even match it up against it is a insult to Crysis and CrytekEasto wrote:I'm not too crazy about all the jumping. Hopefully there will be a "gravity" setting for realism(?).

Here is another video.... it has a Dev, along with a guy interviewing him about it and another playing the demo behind him. Take note of everything he says about game play including the fact there will be multiplayer modes just haven't decided on the amount yet.

the settings you mentioned here are explained in this new vid I posted.. it seems there are different armor settings so when you go "heavy" you can't jump like that..but your (Nano suit) allows it to change kinda like a alien enhancement. So as your in heavy armor you can't jump high but you can't get hurt as much..then go light you can jump way high but get more hits on you.Easto wrote:I'm not too crazy about all the jumping. Oh my bad, I didnt know only oak trees could survive a bulletSava700 wrote:they were not Oak trees...... little bamboo lookin tree's LOL

They demonstrated the ability in the demo to make things different strengths, hopefully they knock it up a bit so that it takes a grenade type blast to take a tree down.
oak tree as just oneYARDofSTUF wrote:Oh my bad, I didnt know only oak trees could survive a bullet![]()

but yeah that video is slightly old and was pre -alpha stage so I would expect the quality team would really look at stuff like that. I expect a very clean launch of this in Sept!

nice "combover"

Every normal man must be tempted at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
I often wonder if the voices in my head ever get frustrated because I'm just too damn lazy to climb that clock tower.

Bunnyhopping is a legit speedhack. I do it all the time in CAL, beat the team to the bomb site and surprise them.
Crysis looks promising.

I mean seriously ...if you gotta hop around like you got a firecracker up your arse to stay alive then you got no business picking up an FPS ..this is why CAL and TWL are lame IMHO

so if this game will run on a 8700M GT Card from a laptop then I see no problem with it running smooth on a 8600GT and above! This is what PC gaming has been waiting for. Running on a high-powered Toshiba Satellite notebook packing a brand new DirectX 10-capable nVidia GeForce 8700M GT card, it can only be said that Crysis looked no less than stunning. The top shelf graphics accelerator had no issue churning out the visuals and handling the game's physics; amazingly enough, all from a notebook. That alone makes Crysis, as well as nVidia's new cards, worthy of anticipation.
