I'd kill for that download speed although my upload beats that by double.
This is at home, with Comcast. If I were at work...heh...depends where I test from at the office..but I can get close to 20,000 upload there if I test from the data center right into the Catalyst.

Every normal man must be tempted at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats. I often wonder if the voices in my head ever get frustrated because I'm just too damn lazy to climb that clock tower.

It was deployed in our area quite early in their rollout, I'd say mid-summerish?....you should get a thing in the mail saying they're rolling it out. Basically they reprovision the modem automatically..and the next time your modem power cycles...it has the new config..and BAM...you be cruisin'!
Call them up and see if it's in your area.

Comcast is taking over Adelphia which is who I have... I got another letter yesterday about them sending out a email to transfer my addy's over.. but maybe I should power cycle the modem to see if it takes a new system or something? cause the speeds I get now are the same as they usually are with Adelphia.
pterty much the same speed except TEXAS 1/10 of the speed * shrugs*
I was going to post a link to that thread, but the SG search results for "bullsh|t" were too numerous

Thanks for the tip
BTW, Julie ordered the memory for me behind my back, so I tried it and it worked. Nice multitasking with lots of progs opened up.

Regarding this power boost...how long does the boost last? Then after the boost what does your speed throttle back to?
My speeds are slow this evening. Should be getting double the download. Upload is fine.

"A PowerBoost burst will normally last as long as 10MB of a file download on Comcast's 6Mbps High-Speed Internet service, and as long as 20MB of a file download on Comcast's 8Mbps High-Speed Internet service. "
