I got the speedguide patch, as well as some other patches I want to install under Windows ME, but when I right click them, no INSTALL option appears, like in Windows 98!

First you need to unzip the .inf file, use Winzip or something

then once it's been unzipped you right click and click on install on the .inf file

Windows ME has its own zip utility included. When you download the file, does it show up in a folder with a zipper on it? If so, you need to extract it before you can right-click/install it. You can either just cut and paste the file to your desktop or right-click on the zipper folder and extract it to your desktop.

If anyone would have looked at the pic I posted about the problem, you may have been more help...

When I right click the file in Windows Explorer, there is no install.. just a "Open With" option, as if Windows doesn't know what to install it with. I fixed it, and then uninstalled WinMe. Nothing fixed my problem with Quake 2 unfortunately.

Well if you bother to check your link doesn't work

He's right. The link leads to a blank page at Xoom.com.
