:rotfl:

I think we need more roundabouts. Those work really well where they have been implemented in the U.S.

I've seen them down in Hilton Head, SC and a couple here in IL and Ohio. A lot better than lights I think.

That's great!

The one with the SUV... the mother runs to the driver side rear to remove her child. My question is why is a father driving like that with his child in the car?

Yeah, those jughandles are all over New Jersey, some people hate them, but I think they help with traffic.

They put one up in a strip mall here and everyone gets confused by it, its liek a major accident waiting to happen.

And the bigger ones waste space

Roundabouts are popping up in many of the new neighborhoods here in Orlando. I think it's a good idea. When I was in Spain, they were everywhere and it seemed like you were hardly ever sitting at a traffic light.

Roundabouts = traffic always moving = get to destination faster :thumb:

of course, there are some negatives as well. It probaly takes longer to set them up, costs more money to build them, and they take up more space, which never seems to be a problem in the U.S. when it comes to anything else.

now thats some funny stuff.. but wow would that cause some damage... they wouldn't last long around here since us Rednecks would likely hook chains to them or just run them over anyway. :thumb:

qft... was watching a vid at random(bored bored bored) it showed a little bit biger one than those and it stopped a fully loaded(with sand) box truck. it hit one under test conditions and well, um it wasnt pretty... hit hit so hard that the contents of the truck removed the cab from the frame... wish i had the link... it had something to do with terrorism and stuff.

Ya I think on one of the most dangerous crashes shows or something they showed a 18 wheeler crash into one and it stopped it dead.
