Well, the first thing I've upgraded(or am upgrading) is that x300 SE-HM. I just ordered a x800 from newegg for around $120. Next thing I'm thinking is to upgrade the RAM; the ram I have in right now is 2x512, and I think Nanya is value RAM. I'm looking for some HQ ram...DDR2@667 I think is what my board tops out at. Do you recommend ditching the Value stuff, and getting like 1-2GB of OCZ-DDR2-667?
I was looking around at what it would cost to upgrade my 2.8 Pent D to the 3.2 Pent d, seems the 3.2 is like $450! It seems that it has the same FSB and cache as my current chip, so all I'd really be getting is 400Mhz extra clock speed...do you really think thats worth it? Because I certainly don't.
Any feedback is appreciated! It's been a while since I've visited these forums, glad to be back!
as for new processor... your prob better off pullin everything apart.. kickin out the mobo and processor you have sell em off for what you can get out of them and upgrade to the low end conroe chip which will give you a big boost. Also with the PS you have it might not do the deeds with the graphics card update along with more ram and so forth so you might end up replacing it... I suggest around a 450watter or up..
Nanya is a big OEM maker...personally I think it's very good quality RAM. I've used it myself, it's held to average overclocking rates just fine.
They may not make super high performance RAM which lets you extract a few more cycles out of your overclocking...so wether it's good for you, depends on if you're an average overclocker (in which case it's fine)...or you like to push the limits.(in which case, seek something like Corsair, Ballistix (I've always used Crucial for many years..OC's quite well, using their Ballistix in current rig),
Personally I'm not a fan of OCZ purely based on their past business practices (more like malpractices...lol).

Had a question, I just ordered the ram I was talking about earlier. Would I be able to use the DDR2@533 along with the DDR2@667? So I'd have a pair of 1GB DDR2@667 and a pair of 512MB DDR2@533.
I know you can normally mix ram, and it usually just downgrades the speed to the slowest RAM module. Will this be possible, running at full speed? Or will it just make the 667 run at 533?

The card you bought was a great choice for its performance and price. I would like to know how much you want to spend for these upgrades? Different amounts would make me go in different directions.
