George Thorogood I Drink Alone Lyrics

I drink alone, yeah
With nobody else
I drink alone, yeah
With nobody else
You know when I drink alone
I prefer to be by myself

Every morning just before breakfast
I don't want no coffee or tea
Just me and good buddy Wiser
That's all I ever need
'Cause I drink alone, yeah
With nobody else
Yeah, you know when I drink alone
I prefer to be by myself

The other night I laid sleeping
And I woke from a terrible dream
So I caught up my pal Jack Daniel's
And his partner Jimmy Beam
And we drank alone, yeah
With nobody else
Yeah, you know when I drink alone
I prefer to be by myself

The other day I got invited to a party
But I stayed home instead
Just me and my pal Johnny Walker
And his brothers Black and Red
And we drank alone, yeah
With nobody else
Yeah, you know when I drink alone
I prefer to be by myself

My whole family done give up on me
And it makes me feel oh so bad
The only one who will hang out with me
Is my dear Old Grand-Dad
And we drink alone, yeah
With nobody else
Yeah, you know when I drink alone
I prefer to be by myself

Go George....you hunky stud, ya. :thumb:

Reminds me of the two senior citizens sitting at the bar in thier ninties. She's sipping a drink and he turns to her and says, " Do I come here often"?

9 minutes til Happy Hour starts....

I gave up on the turtle soup....didn't come out tasting very well, those little bite sized chunks that were so hard to chop up as they scampered across the cutting board ended up tough as a rubber band. So threw that out in the trash..the sea gulls are having a field day.

Since I'm out of time....baked a bunch of potatoes...we'll split 'em 'n stuff 'em with cheese, bacon, sour cream, chives, buttah. :D Baked stuffed potatoes, with the option of putting a big dollop of chile over the top.
