Cable Modem diagnostics

Post by PennState n NortreDame »

I am looking for the default user name and password for Motorola SBV5120 cable modem. When I use the web browser interface and access the cable modem via IP 192.168.100.1 I am prompted for username and password.

It's probably one of these:

Username:admin
Password:admin

or

Username:admin
Password: password

Those are the two that I see most often.

Try admin/motorola, most Motorolas don't ship with one....the regular 5120 units don't, save for the few ISPs that put one on. I'm not sure if the VoIP models like you have have one by default though.

admin / motorola is the winner. Thank you all for your help.....

YeOldeStonecat - I personally like Beamish stout a little more smoother than Guinness. If not, I also satisfy for some Pottsville beer or Irish Wiskey, Paddy's for example.

Slainte!
