Problem with NVidia RAID and SCSI controllers

Hi all,

I have a MSI K8N SLI Platinum motherboard, two Seagate S-ATA HDDs and two Lite-On DVD IDE recorders.
I've just installed a Adaptec SCSI controller, so I can use a streamer.
But after I turn the PC on, the BIOS hungs at the NVIDIA IDE RAID controller's BIOS, saying "Detecting array...", and I cannot do anything except reset, even though the NVIDIA RAID controller IS DISABLED in BIOS.
It seems that the NVIDIA RAID controller is being automatically enabled once the SCSI controller is installed, but why this is happening?
And why it just hungs?

Any help will be appreciated.

After installing the scsi card have you gone into bios to disable the NV Raid again, or can you not get there?

I guess I'd try moving the scsi card to a different pci slot.

are you sure the scsi card works?
out of curiousity how do you have your 2 Sata drives connected? Raided?

have you tried resetting Cmos for chits and giggles?

Hmm, no, I'm not sure the SCSI card works

I'l try to check the controller in another PC.
And no, my SATA hard drives are not raided, they are connected separately.
If the controller is good, then I think it's the compatibility issue between the SCSI and the NVIDIA RAID controllers.
I've already contacted the Adaptec's support, I wonder what will they tell me.
I'll also try to do a BIOS upgrade.

I think the boot order options are configured correctly: "Hard Disk" is the first, one and only device that OS can boot from, and also the "Bootable Add-in Cards" are at the bottom of the boot sequence list, so the BIOS should not even try to boot the system from any SCSI or RAID controller/device.
The S-ATA HDD with the OS have the highest priority in the boot sequence.
I still didn't check the SCSI card in another PC, and I still don't have my BIOS upgraded...
This is what the Adpatec Support have told me:

The Adaptec 19160 controller should not change the bios settings of the
motherboard to cause a controller that has been disabled to enabled.
The 19160 controller does not have that ability. It is a a standard
U160 scsi controller. Have you tried moving the controller to another
PCI slot? Does this MSI motherboard have the most updated bios? If
controller is removed from the system, does the onboard Nvidia RAID
controller bios still appear? It maybe a compatibility issue with the
19160 controller and this MSI motherboard.
