Not all of them look in bad shape.

I got a bunch of those buffalo ones and some of the newer ones too, guess I need to do pictures.

ya, those mercury dimes are in ok shape ..the nickles are almost smooth..lol

I use to collect. My collection got stolen about 25 years ago. Nothing of great value but a lot of fond memories collecting and searching for something special with my grandparents and stuff like that.

Lincoln Wheat Ears Pennies from like 1918-1957

Mintmarked wheat ears

Indian head pennies, 1888, 1901, 1909, one with a hole in it is a 1866, Red book says it would be worth about 45 bucks... if it didnt have a hole in it

These are Lincoln memorial pennies inside the lid, copper, not the current copper/zinc combo

These are my 2 1943 Zinc coated steel wheat ears pennies

Buffalo Nickels and Peace medal, Keelboat, Bison, and Ocean in View Nickels, plus a british 5 cent piece or something.

Bunch of Jefferson nickels, 1940s to 1970s

Some dimes, Mercury and Silver dimes

My state quarters (36 so far) all Philadelphia mintmarked

And here are my extra TN, and KY quaters, worth a buck or 2 according to teh red book, as well as my only Denver mintmarked state quarters

These are my washington quarters and bicentennial quarters, couple 40s, 70s and 80s, few 90s again that the red book says are higher value

Some half dollars and coin dollars, the gold kennedy half dollar is a fake, its a regular silver clad one that my grandfather had a jewler dip in gold

These are just other countries coins

And 2 dollar bills

Ya some pictures are pretty bad lol

Dave's World has an insane collection. One of his hobbies is going out with a metal detector...he lives out in the sticks, finds old paths and roads that were once farms 'n stuff. Areas where there are old foundations from early settlement houses, etc.

Man..the collection of stuff he's gathered over the years..amazing. It's really neat looking through it...holding the stuff in your hand...trying to picture the history behind it.

He's dug up some coins that were pressed from the first years of the US Mints....going back to late 1700s...the value of those is insane..can almost buy a new car with it.

I keep telling him he should open up an online antique store on fleaBay. He'd be rich.

I just save stuff my wife and I come across at work ...people will cash/exchange stuff and i'll just buy it from teh vault

I used to do the same thing when I worked at the bank. I used to process all the coin orders for businesses and do all the large coin deposits for customers. You wouldn't believe the stuff I found. I found a gold coin once, lots and lots of silver, tons of mint errors. I got to buy it from the bank at face value.

Yep, face value...nothing more for me. Older lady I work with does all the coin ..she picks out the goodies for me.

I had a fairly decent collection. Although the values will only be approximations, The Red Book of US coin by Yeoman is quite informative. You may wish to purchase it.

Here's a few I've found recently, all coins were found using a whites MXT detector at around 8 to 12 inches down.
Seated dime

Spanish reale

Halfdime

Large cent

My oldest, and they don't get any older for US mint. Found in a cornfield about 12 inches down.

And the reverse side

The detector was $799.00, I also purchased a couple of different coils ( that's the bottom round piece that is closest to the ground), all in all I probably have $1200.00 into it. You never know what you are going to dig up, it could be a colonial coin, buckle, musketball or just trash.

Ya, the redbook is great for identifying this stuff, and combined with ebay, can figure out what the stuff sells for pretty well.
