These MAC commercials

Post by YARDofSTUF »

Implying that a regular PC cant make a color graph isnt really the best way to advertise lol

With the Intel chips they should realyl target the dual OS thing more and start comparing its OS' responsiveness to the up coming Vista. They could do a lot more damage than they are.

That was a good video...yeah Yos, i thought their newer commercials were quite dumb as well boasting about color graphs and multimedia capabilities.
The first one about virus' was actually funny though, seeing the pc lock up and 'crash' to the floor.

Its a smart way to advertise when done right, like the virus one you said.

You know.. after they started those kinds of commercials.. there were a few hacking groups that pumped out some new Mac viruses / exploits... as to prove a point that no O.S. is perfect.

Last weekend I subjected myself to the MAC store on 5th Avenue in NYC and asked a dumb looking sales girl, "why should I switch to a MAC?"

After about a half hour into this useless discussion, I asked yet again.

She was bragging how MACS are immune to viruses, popups, spyware and you don't need any antivirus software either.

Her name, Roxane Dallas.

Very young girl, she is only 19 trying to convince an adult of years of programming experience why I should switch.

At the end, she suggested I play with a MAC.

I thanked her for her time, but I wasn't interested.

Im not a fan of MACs, but the vista looks, I might as well get a mac, why have the more expensive rip off instead of the cheaper real thing? lol

Now heres a question, why would an adult with years of programming experience expect a retail person to convince them to goto a MAC?

It's "Mac", not "MAC." It's short for "Macintosh"; that is, not an acronym.

Sorry for my ignorance.

Years of eating a BIG MAC can do that to you.

I asked because earlier in the day, I was snapping photos of the city skyline from Long Island City when I met this interesting woman.

I didn't ask her out or anything, she invited me over to her place to show me her new Mac.

She was a PC user, then was (tricked) convinced to switching to the Mac.

That's the reason I went over to their 5th Avenue store.

Wow...you New Yorkers are a trusting lot.

If I'd had a good looking young lady, invite me up to her apartment to show me her "Mac", I would have politely refused.
