IF there is no heaven or Hell

Post by Zerohero »

Then all the people down through history that did evil got off free. I find that a little disturbing. I mean people who had slaves that treated them very badly, forcing the women into submission or Being like Hitler trying to kill of an entire race etc. Your telling me these people just die? They get off good. They will never have to endure the suffering that they inflicted on other beings. I find it very disturbing they get to rest in peace.

I dunno, I just find it hard to accept the fact that basically all these people get off free. I can kill, rape, and destroy because when I die, i die, and who is left on this earth has to deal with what ever actions I decided to do.

But after you commit your crimes, if you get caught, you have to pay and suffer until you die.

Why? Becuse then it won't be perfect? Just live your life teh way you want, regardless of whats out there.

If all religions are false they still serve a purpose in helping to control people's actions and maybe deter some from a criminal life.

It's not about things now, its about people from the past. Some of them killed, and it will go un acounted for.

I dunno man, its just the more that i've been reading about humans evils down through history, the more I wonder how can God let all this happen. "The will of God" doesn't seem to be hitting the spot anymore for me either.

It's not about fixing, its about justice. And like I said "The will of God" is not making any sense at this moment for me.

Well if there is no heaven or hell then how will you do justice for the past NOW? Obviously you need a time machine. lol

what better reason to push a spiritual agenda? Those without conscience may quell their inner desires for fear of posthumous punishment, no?

I'm leaning on the point of how can God allow all such things to happen, and that they are all the will of God? Something just didn't clique with me today.

Ok so now we are going to assume god is real from this point on?

In that case, maybe god is not perfect, maybe he likes watching a trainwreck like all the rest of us, wants to see the drama and tragedy. We could be meaningless to him.

Maybe he doesnt even want us around anymore because of hwo we changed his world so now he wants us to suffer.

Wouldn't make sense. Why make a balance of things then put an imbalance into the mix just to watch it all go down badly?

So why make everyone suffer for because of the actions of two? It would be like me not liking someone because of what their parents or ansestors did to my ansestors.

Because in real life, the stupid thing done by one or two has an adverse affect on others that causes suffering.

Just goes to show how life is but a split second here on earth. Even if a person has no belief in a one true God or Creator, they can't deny the grandness of all that is and to think that our millisecond here is our entire existence makes for a pretty grim picture. The will of God extends far beyond our life here and time means nothing.

It seems to me that if you can make that statement then you believe there is a God, and if you believe there is a God then you believe in heaven and hell........ so then you must believe there is justice. Evil in life on earth = eternal damnation = hell.

GotQuestions.org

Is hell real? Studies show that over 90% of people in the world believe in a "heaven" while less than 50% believe in an eternal hell. It is very interesting, though, that the Bible has more to say about Hell than it has to say about Heaven. Hell is most definitely real! The punishment of the wicked in hell is as never-ending as the bliss of the righteous in Heaven. The punishment of the wicked dead in hell is described throughout Scripture as "everlasting fire" (Matthew 25:41), "unquenchable fire" (Matthew 3:12), "shame and everlasting contempt" (Daniel 12:2), a place where "their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched" (Mark 9:44-49), a place of "torments" and "flame" (Luke 16:23,24), "everlasting destruction" (2 Thessalonians 1:9), a place of torment with "fire and brimstone" where "the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever" (Revelation 14:10,11), and a "lake of fire and brimstone" where the wicked are "tormented day and night forever and ever" (Revelation 20:10). Jesus Himself indicates that the punishment in hell itself is everlasting - not merely the smoke and flames.

The wicked are forever subject to the fury and the wrath of God in hell. They consciously suffer shame and contempt and the assaults of an accusing conscience -- along with the fiery wrath of an offended deity -- for all of eternity. Even those in hell will acknowledge the perfect justice of God (Psalms 76:10). Those who are in the very real hell will know that their punishment is just and that they alone are to blame (Deuteronomy 32:3-5). Yes, hell is real. Yes, hell is a place of torment and punishment that lasts forever and ever, with no end! Praise God that through Jesus, we can escape this eternal fate (John 3:16,18,36).

If there is no heavan or hell, then how would you say they would rest in peace? You cease to exist then. It would not be resting in peace or suffering. Just nothingness; an end to your consciousness.
