Dual DVD drives problem
Dual DVD drives problem
Ok I have two NEC DVD/everything drives installed in a comp.. problem is for example I want to leave my BF2 DVD in the 1st or master drive so I don't have to take it in and out but I want to stick in another say movie dvd or music CD in the 2nd drive and play it.. I can't remember the settings I need to adjust to make it auto play like the master drive?

mount the image file using daemon tools.
ya can't play it online with a legal serial number, so I don't see any ethical issues here. you paid too much for it to leave it in your drive.

looks like this might be a tough one, i'm still looking at search results, but this might be a good starting point (look towards end of this thread) might be a prob w/ a startup app link

I know you know what you're doing, it's just that I saw something in googling on this so figured I'd ask.Sava700 wrote:each drive is set up right.. one as master and another as slave..

I'm still not exactly sure if I got a solution to this problem yet LOL I've tried a few different things but I think if I explain it more.... well for example: BF2 DVD in Drive 1.. playing in game.. Music CD in drive 2 playing music in the background say through media player or whatever. Otherwords both drives working independent from themselves and vise versa.. I want just drive 1 and 2 not Master and slave.
You can devote an individual ATA channel to each drive and make them both master (if you have the channels...). I don't think that Windows cares if they are master or slave. Performance wise it wouldn't matter since game discs only spin up to check the media then sit there.Sava700 wrote:I'm still not exactly sure if I got a solution to this problem yet LOL I've tried a few different things but I think if I explain it more.... well for example: BF2 DVD in Drive 1.. playing in game.. I probably don't understand your problem or goal here...
Neither do I. I think he's been smoking too much crack lately.Kyle wrote:You can devote an individual ATA channel to each drive and make them both master (if you have the channels...). Are you trying to listen to music while you play BF2?
