yesterday and the few weeks before it, it was 175+! in the last month i havent been able to play games online(battlefield 2, half life, ps2 online etc) because of my horrible ping. ive done everything possible to try and fix this(restart modem, check for spyware, close everything running in background), my PC is VERY good and can play any game up to date and so peformance cant be the problem. i do have mediacom and i have no idea why my ping is so horrible!!!!! my download speed and upload speed hasnt been very good till today after i sent them a message about my poor internet performance. upstream: 80-100 downstream: 200-300 un till today now its like 1000 downstream and 230 upstream but my ping is still not so good(70-120ms) anyone have an idea why its so bad and possible solutions???

My first question would be, what did your ISP say? This could be a problem on their end or your end.
