@home calbe signal too weak
Anyway to boost the cable signal? I will lose connection between 11am-9pm and today I unplug the spliter that separates my modem cable and tv cable outside of my house and I can log in again. I don't want to go out and unplug my tv cabel everyday, so it there a way to boost the signal on my modem cable so I don't get disconnected? thanks

Call your cable company and let them fix it. Yes radioshack sells two way AMPs that will work with cable modems but if the signal is boosted to much your modem could jam the node up and your cable company will cut you off promptly. I know my cable company would gladly do it then the customer taking it in their own hands and service appointments are free. So up here my MSO would not tolerate it if the customer installed AMP screwed up the system.
Most cable amplifiers are NOT two-way so be cautious if you choose to do this. As drdoug99 and donald_k have already said, definately give your cable company a call. More than likely, they will replace the splitter that's creating the problem or they will drop a new line from the tap to where your modem is to isolate the TV from the modem.
