MSN Messenger

Well I made a passport ID finally and figured I'd look at MSN messenger, since I run gaim its no big deal, but why does MS have to be stupid and require your email as the username. If you make your MSMM ID public then people have your email to spam. Pretty retarded.

Does MS make the email address/passport ID public for others anywhere else?

I just simply dont use the email... I only use the messenger part of it. I dont seem to get spammed though regardless.

I just set my MSN mail account to exclusive. So if you aren't in my address book your email message goes in the trash.

My MSN passport/messenger is set to my main email, not a msn or hotmail one.
