BF2 Special Forces..who's getting it?!

Post by Sava700 »

Ok who all is going to get this thing cause I'm still up at arms about it since the game itself is still buggy and my thoughts are they should fix the regular one before selling expansion packs. Also if your getting it where are you going to get it from? Cheapest place?

I'm not. Bored with BF2 in general. Besides, there are a few other games I'd rather get. FEAR being on the top. I'm a little behind. Still haven't installed Painkiller. Got it a few weeks ago.

Well, considering that its DICE canada that made the expansion, and DICE sweden are the ones focused on patches. its not fair to say the expansion is just shovelware.

I'm most likely not going to bother with it. The game itself is too buggy still for my liking.

I'll be getting it more than likely. Getting somewhat burnt out on the same maps.
Respect it.

Yeah its still buggy and I agree here about wanting some different maps to play on..but that should be what EA puts out is a map pack vs a whole expansion pack for various things other than maps. I'm curious to know if the expansion will pull your points that you've gotten on the regular game also to be used in unlocking of whatever in the expansion pack.

No, points and rankings will carry over as far as I know.

Well its either EA drop the whole ranking crap and teamkilling punish junk or they keep it with the packs.. in this case I'm for sure not getting it. They just haven't had the full game out long enough for a pack... they need to add new maps to the existing one first.

I dont really run for a tank now unless one is needed, I run around with the G3 or DAU or run people over in jeeps. :D

I'll probably end up waiting for the big popular mods that are coming out.

Mashturd City and Sharqi are nice also ...can't stand Zatar, Kubra or Clean Sweep

I've been trying the helo gunner lately .... nice thing is i'm usually one of the first in a map unless the spawn time is ridiculous so i'll just hop in the gunner seat and sit there until a pilot comes along. :thumb:

I'll ask for special forces as a gift for the holidays ..no hurry to get it.

I used to HATE Kubra...but it's grown on me. As my role is always spec ops, lately I've focused on just taking out enemy assets (meaning, radar and UAV)...as Kubra is a great map for rocketing across in a buggy, dropping some C4 on the radar and UAV. Then rocketing out of the enemy base while taking a slight detour to "thwump thwump" with my front bumper a few plane *****s standing there picking their noses while waiting for a plane/helo to spawn.

I've already bought it, and its sitting on my hard drive waiting for the release date to install it. I want it for no other reason then to play with the Zip line and grapple hook. :D
