Donating blood today

My friend is giving me a lift home after because I don't think it is wise to drive after.
Anyone have any experiences with giving blood?

Its a good idea to have a driver if you have never given blood before

The first time I donated blood I had to line my pockets with lead fishing weights to make the 100 pound minimum!!

Most people have no bad after effects, while others feel a bit shaky or woozy.

Good thing bout giving blood is going directly to the pub for a few couple beers.

But seriously, nice thing to do. They'll give you a cookie and some juice when your done.

Sure have. They actually came to my work a few years back. It wasn't that bad. They gave us orange juice and some candy afterwords. Still had to go back to work I was hoping for the rest of the day off, but it didn't get me all quizzy or dizzy. Felt fine after.
