Donating blood today

Post by Subsane »

My friend is giving me a lift home after because I don't think it is wise to drive after.
Anyone have any experiences with giving blood?

Its a good idea to have a driver if you have never given blood before :)

The first time I donated blood I had to line my pockets with lead fishing weights to make the 100 pound minimum!! :rotfl:

Most people have no bad after effects, while others feel a bit shaky or woozy.

Better safe than sorry! and...Good for you!! :thumb:

Good thing bout giving blood is going directly to the pub for a few couple beers.

But seriously, nice thing to do. They'll give you a cookie and some juice when your done.

Sure have. They actually came to my work a few years back. It wasn't that bad. They gave us orange juice and some candy afterwords. Still had to go back to work :( I was hoping for the rest of the day off, but it didn't get me all quizzy or dizzy. Felt fine after.

Subsane, you've motivated me. I think I'm going to go give too.

Beer after eh? Not a bad idea (j/k)
Hopefully I have some blood left when I get there (been a heck of a day at work) manufacturing custom enclosures... http://www.codeelectric.com/contactus.htm I'm Mike in case anyone out there in the electrical industry requires any services ;)

Anyways, thanks for the feedback, now I know what to expect (cookies and juice :rotfl: ).
