Troops roll into chaotic New Orleans bringing aid

NEW ORLEANS (Reuters) - Army troops rolled in to try and restore order in New Orleans on Friday, finally bringing emergency supplies for desperate survivors of Hurricane Katrina after days of delays and broken promises.

A convoy of camouflage-green trucks wound its way through flooded streets, where marauding gangs roamed and corpses rotted in the sun a full four days after the hurricane battered the city.

Saw earlier where people at the Super Dome were shooting at aid helicopters with rifles

They moan about needing help, then bite the hand that feeds them.....I just dont get it. Some of them deserve to die, like the ones shooting at helicopters, looting stores, and shooting at cops.

On a lighter note I hope they can get in there and contain disease and help everyone that needs it. I thought there were alot more people evacuated, I saw a figure of more than 5500 being rescued by the coast guard

No way youd catch me stayin in a town like that.

Thats a few gangsters not everyone shooting. There are bad people everywhere we have them in every state. You cant blame everyone. Some are coming in from other states to loot and rob people. Just ****ing sickening.
