Yeah... that cracks me up because there are probably 10 million people with the same photo.

Here's mine from Diamond Head:

I hated Waikiki. I will never go there again. I hope to see the other islands.

I rather enjoyed it, even if it does share a little too much in common with most other beach communities these days.

The Big Island had plenty of sights to see and places to hike, but a couple hundred miles of volcanic ash and sulfur pits just aren't my cup of tea.

You're right about the photo though. The same shot, more or less, is even on the Wiki for Waikiki.

Jim,

Waikiki was just TOO damn busy and touristy for me. If you're into lots of eateries, lots of hotels, lot of shopping and lots of people, than Waikiki is great.

I'd rather head up to Kauai and stay in a small town on the beach. I hate touristy places.

yea, i guess i should have asked the 747 pilot to bank more. sure, it would have scared everyone on the plane, but i would have would have a kick ass pic. actually, i took several of these ask we took off. they all have a bit of the wing in them. on top of that, i had to fight the wife off for having an electronical device operating during the take off. lol. :D
