using computer as tv recorder...

Post by RoscoPColtrane »

What is the best way to turn my computer into one of those TV video recorders? I want to be able to watch tv on my tv and record on my computer at the same time. Also able to watch tv on my computer. I was looking at some PCI cards at best buy, which ones are best? Thanks in advance

TV card, forget the good one at 50 bucks right now, and a splitter to split the cable line, especially if u have digital cable and want to record those shows, provided the cable box has a output coax.

i just built a PVR and im using beyond TV3.
there are some little bugs in it, but it really does a great job at handling all the recording of the system once you get it together.
and it gives you free guide updates
