Still decompressing from previous job

Post by Debbie »

That is the only thing that I can think of. Since May 2nd (my start date), I have felt like someone shot me with a tranquilizer gun!! It is only because I went from being tense for 4 years to being totally relaxed and getting the respect that I deserve.

My boss has given me the power to make decisions... :thumb:

She leaves me alone... :thumb:

I take care of business... :thumb:

It took 4 years, but I held on because I like the institution that I work for. Now that I am in Government/Community Relations, I can network with a ton of people. This move was a good one in so many ways.

It has been almost 4 weeks and I am still hearing from people how my face has changed and I am not pale anymore.

I feel bad for the girl that was hired for my old position. 3 weeks on the job and she got sick. My old boss is really bad news. Something has to give somewhere. Unfortunately, our HR department leaves little to be desired.

I am so glad that I am out of there. :D :2cool:

I hear ya downhill. I was not feeling well for a few months. All I did was pray for a better opportunity to come along. Then my current job was posted. I called that VP (without HR knowing) to discuss the position with her. She is aware of my work ethic and by the end of the conversation, we planned my start date. She did not want to interview any applicants. :D

Funny thing, the Budget Director told me that she has never seen an interdepartmental transfer happen so fast and smooth. They did not have to get a reference from my old boss. They know how well I supported her even with all of the bs she hands out. My boss's supervisor intervened on my behalf. He is the CFO and Sr. VP of the Garden. :thumb:

Suggestions? Yeah, I am open to suggestions. ;)

Well you know it has to be anonymous

How about a small box of dried cat doo doo...

Or...Send her a can of dried anchovies....with a bit of dried up Limburger cheese..

Maybe a quart of 2 year old milk.

You know...just a little something for her to know your thinking of her. :D

You might also want to include a couple of spiders (alive, dead, fake...) to really liven up the opening. :)

nothing like a nice scary spider to really let her know you're thinking of her ;) ;)
still folding away, haven't been on as much lately
