Ross can use our help and prayers
Ross can use our help and prayers
I was contacted by a couple of members with some sad news. Seems Ross (blebs99) is having a really hard time right now. His wife may have to have her kidney removed. She is in the hospital and they are living on his disability while she can't work. Additional information and updates can be found here (although you'd have to register):

Some of the members of that forum are getting together and doing a donation offering. They have even set up a PO box, if anyone wants to send him a donation to help out while Lyn is out of work or with the hospital bills or anything. If anyone is interested in helping, make a check payable to Ross Young, put "speedguide" and "donation to Ross" so they know it was from a SG member. The address is:
Ross Fund
6021 SW. 29th St.
PMB 247, Ste.A
Topeka, Kansas 66614
If you need more info, post in the above thread, or PM "Miss Gummy" at the SG forums, or "Birdie" at the Cloudeight forum
Whether you can donate or not, Ross and his wife can really use some prayers and support.
Paypal: I've had a couple of requests to setup a Paypal donation method for Ross. If you'd like, feel free to paypal any donation money directly to me (Click Here, or simply paypal philip at speedguide.net) and I'd be happy to relay it in the form of a check to Ross. Please also add a note with your username if you want, so I can relay that information as well.
Donations I've received for Ross so far (thank you) :

Thank you Philip for posting this.
There is a link on the link that you posted at the end, but if any missed it, he went to pick her up this morning and they are going to watch the kidney for a couple of weeks. I am hoping she will not have to have it out and it starts functioning. They have had way to much hardships and I know they appreciate everyones help.

You people are too much. I thank all of you none the less. I didn't ask or say anything to the members of speedguide (And made sure I didn't say Jack to KEN
Darn Pirate had me in tears for a while back then!) because of the overwhelming support you all gave me during my heart surgery nearly 3 years ago. Folks I've come to the conclusion that the creator has it in for us. We have to be close to the most unluckiest if not thee unluckiest family there is when it comes to this medical stuff. Well, the cat is out of the bag now, so rather then bore you all, I thought I'd explain that. I cannot ask this forum after what you did almost 3 years ago.
Lyn was discharged this morning. We are far from out of the woods. The only thing different is that it's not immediate life threatening like it was Tuesday night. She is to see the Doc in the office this week or whenever they'll so kindly schedule her in, then do more tests and find out if the kidney is even functioning and if so, do they remove the block or remove the whole kidney. If any surgery is going to happen, it won't be for at least 2 weeks. The kidney is still very inflamed and angry as well as still some infection present along with bleeding.
At any rate, that's where we are now. Hold on to your hats kids and no screaming while the bus is in motion.

I want to learn more and more to see as beautiful what is necessary in things; then I shall be one of those who make things beautiful. Amor fati: let that be my love henceforth! I do not want to wage war against what is ugly. I do not want to accuse; I do not even want to accuse those who accuse. Looking away shall be my only negation. And all in all and on the whole: some day I wish to be only a Yes-sayer.

Geez Ross what a road of hard knocks you and your family have and are going through. You know how to use PM's so I highly suggest you send me and the others here one if you NEED ANYTHING at all. Don't blow that offer off as we'll jump in one of MD's black vans, drive to Canton and proceed to kick your ass.
Be well in spirit and take care of your little lady.

You know, I may not just so I can get you home and see your ugly face and maybe share some Listerine. Even if MD is such a bad boy, I wouldn't mind meeting him too. Both of you screwballs have brought lots of smiles to my otherwise smileless face!Joint Chiefs of Staff wrote:Geez Ross what a road of hard knocks you and your family have and are going through. Wow, How did I miss this? I am sorry to hear of this...
You know that I am in...
Ross, I will send you something out directly to you, probably tomorrow or Saturday. You are still at the same address, right?
I have been and still am very busy, so if Philip and the other site will run with it, thats great... If not, people just PM me and I will forward you my addy and, as before, forward funds to Ross...
Can a member of the other board cross post to here?
