Setting up DSL through a router

I bought a new router the other day, but for some reason I cannot connect to my DSL account throught it... an error saying no dialtone comes up..any advice?

make sure you have no filters on the jack to the modem what modem do you have and what rotuer??

Maybe you selected PPP instead of PPPoE when setting up your WAN configurations.

what's the diff between PPP and PPPoE?

point to point protocol is just that a direct link to where you are going to where pppoe is point to point over ethernet

same thing as ppp but in capsulated differently using an ethernet frame.
