i just upgraded from 2 128 pc-133 sticks to 1 512mb stick the 512 has chips on both sides as the 128's only had chips on 1 side i was wondering if i can use 1 of the 128's with the 512 also?

If you have three slots you may be able to use them all. Check you motherboard manual, it should list what size mem sticks you can use. My motherboard has three slots for PC-133 DIMMs. I've had 128's in with 256's in with 512 meg sticks. My max supported is 3@512 meg. Right now I have two 512's and one 256 for 1280. :)

mobo is a acorp 7via71a i think? only has 2 dimm slots

Its a touchy situation, some ram does'nt play well with others. Try it, it may recognize it but then you may have random freezes and blue screens if its not compatible.
But its worth a shot :thumb:
