Screwed by Sears

Post by Humboldt »

So f'ing pissed off right now.

Bought a fridge from Sears last week, told the guy I only had Wednesdays and Thursdays off and to schedule the delivery for today.

Like an idiot I didn't double check the receipt.

He scheduled it for this Saturday...a day I'm at work and can't be here.

So now it's scheduled for...a week from today.

DAMNIT! :irate: :irate: :irate: :irate: :irate:

Definitely!! It's all about customer service these days...tell him you can have the same fridge delivered sooner from a competitor---then tell him how you enjoy shopping at Sears and that it is unfortunate you are forced to go elsewhere because of great inconveniences like this one---then ask for some compensation!

Sounds to me, like everyone is over reacting. Give the guy the benifit of the doubt. Call him and explain the situation, could of been a honest mistake or a typo. I'd try that first. :)

Hi Humboldt

Call Sears & ask for the Store Manager.

Explain your situation in a calm manner and tell him you now have to pay a friend to be there for the delivery and you'd like a Discount reflecting this situation, as it was not your fault, rather their Scheduling that is causing this to take place.

They will work with you i'm sure. Even an In-Store Credit of say $50 bucks would do.

That way it only costs them say $25 to 30 Bucks, but allows you $50 bucks at Retail.

Good Luck

Does Sears still charge for delivery. If so, seems the least they can do is drop the delivery fee.

My fault also for not checking the delivery date on the receipt.

I bought it last Wed. and asked for delivery this Wed (today) and the guy said sure, but what is on the receipt and in their computer is delivery this Saturday. I never would have asked for a Sat. delivery cause I work then.

There's a $60 delivery fee but I have a rebate to cover that.
