Hrmm, can't seem to go to any ezboard related sites...

Post by SadbutTrue999 »

Yeah. I was trying to get on my team's recruiting message board (mb.scout.com/bcalinsider), and it worked once, but never again. After some further investigation, i found out its an ezboard and and I can't get on any ezboard related sites. I know the forum is up, being that I go there from other comps and was there once from this computer. Any idea why this wouldn't be working? I have tried multiple browsers, rebooting, entering the address directly, etc. Nothing seems to work, it just won't load and comes up with a cannot connect to server error. Help?

Thanks

Maybe you have a bad dns cache. type this in on a command line and see if it helps

ipconfig /flushdns

ezboard access

Post by konomi »

I have had several customer call me on this issue. It seems that ezboard is blocking ip(s)

I have my customers release and renew their modems or just simply turn them off for a period of time in order to receive a new ip from the isp. This has worked 100% of the time for this issue.

Hope this helps

one minor issue is that I'm on a T1. Could I acheive the same thing by turning off the router or will I need to do something else (I actually don't really know how a T1 works, if theres a turn on/off switch or if its like a phone line).

Time to email ezboard

Post by konomi »

In my experience, it has always been a cable or DSL with dynamic ip. In your case with a static ip, I would say you need to contact ezboard tech support; give them your ip and ask that you be removed from their blocklisting. Maybe they just blocked an entire range of which you happen to fall into.

try this link, it's their email support submittal page

Check your hosts file as well, there may be an entry there redirecting to local host 127.0.0.0 or 0.0.0.0
