What specific model router do you use at home?

1668,

Are you trying to connect to your companies VPN? Or are you trying to connect to your Home network VPN, through your Companies internet access. Im not following exactly what your trying to do, but anyhow....

Suggestion 1
Lets assume you are trying to connect to your home network through a home router that supports VPN. To connect you will need the client-side software on the remote PC (i.e. companies PC) to connect. This software is often included with your router, and configuration is fairly straight forward. You will only need to enable it in your routers config, and configure your client software for your home networks ISP or WAN ip address.

Suggestion 2
Lets assume you are trying to connect to your home network throug a software VPN solution. In this case we need to know what software you are using. From this information we can then suggest a port-forwarding tactic for your router (if you are using one). You again will most likely need client-side software, and the IP from your ISP/WAN.

HOpe that helps a little,
the more info you can provide the easier it will be for us to help you out.

What do you have for your firewall? Most routers for the home broadband market have an option in their web admin to allow VPN passthrough (NOT port forwarding or DMZ...but just a passthrough allow checkbox), I've not seen one interfere with any VPN connections that I've used, Checkpoint, Sonicwall Global, native Windows, etc.

I have tested, the port I need is open. I notice that is a 3rd party software(Custom Application) cause this problem(may be not compatible). If I by pass that software and directly plug in my cable to router, I can connect VPN, and can browse to FTP and Https protocol. Only HTTP can not browse, properly there is a DNS issue. Because there is an erro message "DNS Can not be reach, Can not resolve DNS...something like that". I can ping to the Internet, but I can't browse, No matter how I try, like Changing my DNS, Config a static IP insteed of DHCP. Update IE patches, Even lower down the security zone to lower level.

You lost me on this post. So you're trying to setup a VPN so that you can surf the web on your home PC from work? Are you trying to get around a proxy server at work or something?

sorry, I miss leading you guys.

Recently, I notice that is nothing to do with VPN. I thinks is my Internet connection problem. My VPN have no problem if I using dailup. The actual scenario is I can not connect to the Internet in order to connect to my VPN. I notice that is a error message "DNS can not be resolve". And I found this http://support.microsoft.com/default.as ... -us;247681 from Mircosoft. I still need to test it out.

Thanks guys
