ATTENTION: SCRIM tonight, 11/30/2004, for the BFV 5 man team.

Post by JawZ »

I know this is sort of last minute, but if we can muster 5 people, we can have a real scrim against |D| on their server. We will use our Teamspeak.

So if you want to play....the show time will be 8:30PM EST....but I want to talk with all of you beforehand no later than 8:00PM EST on OUr Teamspeak.

The IP addy of |D|'s server is as follows:

69.56.162.50: Default BFV port 15567

TO make it easy, you should just follow me in using Xfire. ;)

Now if we get more than 5 people we can do a couple of things....we can play with more than 5 and I'm sure |D| will adjust accordingly or we can just keep it at 5 and rotate people in and out. Like I said before...if you show up to play...YOU WILL PLAY.

What strategies should we go with? Grouped together? Or spread out?

From the looks of it, you'll be needed on |D| because as of right now....I have 7.

If we get one more for certain, we'll have 8 and really make this a match.

Ok, well here is the deal....you should at least set it up and LISTEN to what is going on so you can take orders. Just set it up now and fiddle with it. Let me know if you have any problems in getting it squared away and I'll help you.

Absolutely, you need to at least be able to hear what is going on.

great gaming tonight guys.. seemed once we got going I lost my train of thought and just wasn't worth a lick lol prob since having to go to work right afterward disrupted my train of thought. Had to skip out after that first match to get ready but good playing during that time! I had fun.. I'll try to tweak in that teamspeak some more tomorrow and try to figure out a way to use it without the ole lady going crazy at me.

Good Gaming Guyz,

It was fun, never played 5v5 before and that was a little weird/harder to do than I thought. Always needing to cover your ground in that mode was interesting and a work out. Noticed your "grouping" was great too :) Great Job!!

Well hope we can do it a can sometime!

ACE is a madman, nice work guys. I spent more time tk-ing Hawaiian than killin [SG] people it seems...lol.

Y'all prolly saw |D|Max in there, the one with 50+ points and a 3+ KDR ratio? Well, get ready to feel like idiots, cuz he is a 12 y/o :D Actually, don't feel like idiots, Max just owns on BFV, plain and simple. He is a machine on jungle maps and city maps. If you see him with a M79, just run and hope he does not see you.

yup, I think we have a very competent team....just need to practice some more and mesh things up with Teamspeak and I think we have a formula for winning.

thanks for the games and I'll be seeing you tomorrow night...this time from the same team lol. :D

Definitely need to work more with TS, and start learning those new maps. Definitely had fun, just going to take a little getting used this. Surprisingly though, the temptation to jump in a tank wasn't there.

I only played in the first round of last nights match, but I really enjoyed it. Yeah, Max is really good player. I also noticed Moto isn't too shabby either, hehe. I can't play this evening, but I'll be around Thursday evening for sure :thumb:

We started out tight, sticking with our pairs/trios. But after a bit, broke up and started going solo like we were pubbing.

Gotta practice sticking with your 'mates, side by side. If someone drops and has to spawn again, surviving guy has to stick tight and wait...til yer paired up again.

Need to learn to flush out a building....we tend to just "all rush in and stand at the door", getting in each others way, and hence..mowed down. Instead....have a squad enter a building with a plan, from different doors...and soften up the room ahead of time by tossing in some 'nades ahead of the rush.

Practice "leapfrog" advancing...one guy goes up 50' or so then ducks behind some cover while other squad guys are knelt providing cover. Then once first guy is behind an object providing cover..kneels and provides fire cover while the other guy(s) advance another 75' or so. Repeat as needed til you're at objective.

Lets be very aware of TeamSpeak...keep convo brief and to the point. Other guys may need to communicate to their squad "RIGHT NOW"...and it sucks trying to wait for a half hour while someone else is blurting out something as lengthy as War and Peace.

I know exactly what you mean. Kinda tuff when we are almost to a flag and one of us gets killed, I feel like I have to move on and try to cap it. This is something we deffinatly need to work on. All in all it was a good time last night!! Great gaming last night fellas!! :thumb:

Yeah I was surprised...I mean, none of us have practiced together as a team really, well, as least those on the SG team last night. Our first scrim we tied it at 45 all.
