help with data recovery

Post by DAVE »

i was playing around with Partition magic to merge my drive and now the whole 200GB is totally gone
i know there is a software that can recover the lost data but i don't know which one is good and free
i try serveral of them and the virtual lab data recovery seem to work the best but it's not free
any1 know a free software that i can use to recover my data
and by the way from the time of the lost data i didn't write anything to the HDD so it can be easier to get the Data back
thanks

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/restoration.html

Give it a shot, it's free. I've used it and had no problems with it.

Google for it - there are several companies that offer this service. Get your checkbook ready as this will cost you well over $1000 US.
anything is possible - nothing is free

Sorry it didn't work. I thought it might, wasn't sure.

Have a good look through your Partition Magic Program. Can't it redo, or recreate lost partitions.
Does it make backups of the partition info?
I'd look into that angle.

I don't know of any partition restore programs out there that are free, and understandable to the average user. You would need to know the nitty gritty of how partitions are made, addresses used on the drive and way too much more.

If you ever know that much, someone will have to kill you :D jk

Dos IS boss, but you have to know how to use it.
