Hidden IE files and view log in XP
Hidden IE files and view log in XP
Okay long story short, I want to be able to view the hidden files in IE and also view the log in XP that states what your doing and time stamps it.
My girl told me that she could see what I was doing on my PC after I deleted temp, history. Well she was right she said at so and so time you were playing poker then switching to look at this and that webpage. She was right that was exactly what I was doing. Any help would be appreciated.

People will forget what you said... and people will forget what you did... but people will never forget how you made them feel.
Thats what I was gonna say..Those programs that let you "Spy on your wife or hubby" type deals.porkchop wrote:maybe she has a keylogger on your pc or soemthin?
It could also be that shes going through your History files. IE doesnt always do a good job of wiping the temp files out. If you right click on IE and left click properties, change your history to 1 or 0 days, go to the advanced page and put a check on Empty Temporary directory when you close IE.
Is she very computer knowledgeable?
If shes not, then I dunno how shes getting such a detailed track of what you were doing other then a keylogger.
Did you set the Folder options to Show Hidden Files and to Unhide system files ? Use a program like CrapCleaner http://www.ccleaner.com and under options take the check off of "Only Delete files 10 days or older in Temp Directory" .
I think running a program like spysweeper might give you a hint if a keylogger is installed on your system.

Nah, she just wanted to prove me wrong. When I said I cleared everything and there was nothing for her to see.
The thing that bothers me the most she how she saw some log file that showed me switching from program to program with times. I mean she found stuff from like 3 years ago.
THing about it folks, how much trouble we could all get in if your other found stuff from that long ago.
