AMD's new processors

Post by Zmoney »

ok well this probubly belongs in the hardware area but its not really a problem.

Iam just lookin for some info on AMD 3 new cpu's due this year..the palimino, mustang, and hammer.
at first i heard that the hammer would have a 7 MEG!!! catch ...but a guy at a computer store said yesterday that they are droping teh 7meg catch for a smaller one.
any info on any of these cpu would be sweat.

Gee, and my crummy K6-2 is good enough to forward every key I press, to the FBI. I wonder what is next.

No, I am serious. I am under surveillance right now. I'm going to do a thread-post about it.

I know this much, the Mustang is going to be for the High End Server market, AMD is gonna try and cut in here where Intel is dominating right now and that's in the Server market. The mustang is the chip to do that, High Speed, on die, L2 cache and large amounts of it. Hopefully this will also bring SMP from AMD finally as well.
