Who has the SETI@home thing running at the same time here??

jdblitz:
What kind of cooling setup do you have on your system? Is it loud? I turn off the fans when I run over night because I don't like the noise when I sleep, then my CPU temperature goes up to 49 and MB around 40. But if I have the fan running, the CPU temperature hovers around 37 and MB around 30. I have CUSL2 with ASUS PC Probe reporting this to me, v2.12.07. I have 1 fan blowing in from the side of the case; I cut the case. I have 2 fans on the back of the case, blowing air out.

Anybody here knows of a NIC card that is a good overclocker? Right now, my FSB bottle neck is my NIC, so without a faster NIC, I can't fully overclock my CPU to the max. I'm using Netgear FA310TX. The highest I can set my PCI bus is 36MHz.

I'm running cable modem so NIC is pretty crucial for me.

Thanks for any information.

OK, I'm in now too. I wanted to wait a few days to see how this ting works and to do a little reading here of what people think. My name is mikemean406 (Speedguide.net Team)
Oh, and I am running SETI@Home and Folding@Home at the same time, so that should be ok shouldn't it?

No it doesn't need server rights. You initiate contact with their server. They do not initiate contact with you. So in ZoneAlarm you only need to give it Internet access. Server rights are only need if you want someone to be able to contact your system without you initiating the contact.

Wow, the "Similar Threads" at the bottom of threads is really cool. :D This was the original thread from when we first started the Folding Team here at SpeedGuide! :D

A bit of SG History for you! (Pay attention as one day we may have a SpeedGuide Trivia Game with prizes!) :D

Can anyone identify the thread starter? :D :p

Wow. Nostalgia. I think it was another month before I signed up. Been fun ever since. So many things are different since then. The changeover from FAH1 to FAH2 being one of the biggies.

We left all of our old stats behind which would be what these days? A few days worth of points now if even that much?

Back to lurking.

Brad

Edit: See, I have not even changed my old avitar that Chris made me (It was you right Chris?) back from the FAH3 days. :)
Have you checked your Folding Farm today? :D
