Off to work we go

Post by blacklab »

Will be working in the field for the next month or two. There are a couple of drilling rigs working in the area so I should be able to get some good pictures of the equipment used to drill a gas well.

I will be about 200 km from town on the edge of the Rocky Mountains. Rather than drive back and forth every day I moved my trailer out closer to where I will be working. With any luck there will not be too many visitors. Not talking about the human kind. Just up the road from where I am parked there is about the largest grizzly footprint I have ever seen. It is old so I hope it has moved on.

I will be getting back to town every 3 or 4 days so I should be able to update this thread then.

This is my office and home for the duration. The red 97 Dodge is my office.

Another shot.

This is the lake I am parked beside.

This is one of the water trucks that haul water for one of the drilling rigs.

Your accommodations probably look and work much better than mine. :D

Say, does that trailer have a/c? I'm sure the Dodge does.

You are right, they both have AC, but I have to run the generator for the trailer to work and that kinds of defeats the purpose. Anyway it is only seven degrees here today, and that is the expected high.
