Putting customers first.
When I think about the number of times I have come home from a hard days work and discovered that my phone had lost the dial tone, and then had to wait anywhere from four days to possibly as long as four weeks before the matter is resolved just burns me up. SBC/Ameritech has got to be the absolute worst phone company in the country. Their brand of customer service is the equivalent of o-dot trucks clearing the streets of snow, but only after a large amount had fallen and left untreated for hours, just before rush hour was to commence. I thought that when SBC took over, we as subscribers to Ameritech, would reap the benefits of better service. That has not been the case. Not by a long shot. I am one of thousands of customers who have in the past year complained and called for Ameritech to get their act together. SBC, I have discovered is one of the worst, if not the worst of the baby-bells out there today. As a subscriber, I would like some regulatory body like the public utilities commission to conduct an intensive investigation and levy if need be, heavy fines in order to serve notice to those companies that the customers will not go underserved.

DEFINATELY FROM NY! heheeh, just the brutally honest outlook that can only come from the New England area and mostly centered upon NYC. hehehe. Anyway, you should look for a broadband I-net connection and a good rate on a cell phone, make calls over net and use cell phone for incoming. I RARELY talk on phone so this setup would be IDEAL for me if it werent for the fiance'. she is the only reason we have a land line, she talks to my mother in law like 3 hours a day everyday.(thank god its local) anyway, gluck!Originally posted by wellington17:
If you think a puc or some other government organization will wave some magic wand over these phone companies that makes them play nice and be your friend, then you are living in a dream world. If you want a friend, buy a dog. It's time to wake up buddy!
