aaagh,9800 pro to? is it worth it?

Post by Bandit159 »

Well, the idea has been lurking around in my mind.thinking along the lines of a 6800gt.i see those nice benches, but in real terms i wonder if this is a good idea.

look at my specs below.i am wondering if this will unleash more power or somtin to that effect?heh-

i am guessing pci-e will be slow to come around and maybe at least a year before it is actually beneficial...?

Oh come on. You already know the answer to your question. If you have an FX-53, will a 6800 GT bring more performance?

Uh, yeah.

no.this is an honest question.i want to know if a need a higher end card to keep up with the cpu sorta like?i also would like to hear from anyone who has done just that and gone from an 9800 pro to a high end nvidia or ati card?was it a nice gaming improvement? :)

It's actually the other way around. The performance of a high-end video card is affected by the CPU. You would have NO PROBLEM in running a high-end card.
