Rivas has moved me to give up the debate. As for you Sam, sorry if I offended you. I simply don't understand how "ego" comes into play when I say the xbox is a superior machine.... because it is. Quite right Joe.

If your qualification of superior is limited to the engine under the hood, then you would be correct (among the other consoles, of course). However, my ego comment stems from the fact that there is more to a gaming machine (of any type) than its power, and in fact, the power is meaningless without the games behind it. On the other hand, your previous comment does imply that your definition of "better" only encompasses size and power, for that is the only reason why you play the box, no?

Inferring that I do not prefer quality simply because I don't limit myself to only eye candy and technical do-dads is absolutely nonsensical. One can enjoy a multitude of fruits in the world if you don't limit yourself to only the tallest trees. And likewise, there is certainly no mal-intent in my post, just expressing my opinion on the matter.

Okay then, let's return to the speculatory nature of the original thread.

X-box 2 is going to be what?... $500? Still a mighty good-looking machine. The games for the X-box 2 will be revolutionary to the gaming industry (yet again). I just hope Microsoft has some better sense this time and starts creating a lot more games. The few titles out there are good (ie. Splinter Cell, Halo, Halo2[when it comes out], Ninja Gaiden, etc), but i want MORE!
