can take out PS Fan?
listen,
i keep the side panel off my case all the time. i have a very high quality power supply from Zalman 300W High Power. if you look inside it has massive heatsinks in it.
i assume they put a fan in it to cool the case and to provide a little overkill in cooling the PS. But, I take the fan out do you think it will be ok.
my goal is to get rid of the noisy fan on it. the fan they put on is a .24 amp ball bearing which has a whine to it that makes me just cry like a little ittty bitty baby boy.
running p4E 2.8, 9800Pro, 1 HDD,

Not to Be is Best.
NO! do not take out the psu fan,it's there to cool the psu not your case.Scum333 wrote:listen,

I see psu's fail all the time, and it's usually because of the fan going bad.
most high end psu manufacturers put 2 fans in their units, and because they are high end, they already assume that the user has good and ample case cooling.

also, most high end psu's have fan speed controls built-in to the psu,my Enermax and Antec psu's do.(though I keep all mine at full speed
I gave up on fan noise along time ago,I would rather put up with it in order to have good cooling.
Why do you have the side panel off? I guess those low quality Intel's run hot! If you have your case fans setup correctly it should run cooler and quieter with the side panel on.Scum333 wrote:listen,

I don't know the same things you don't know.
