LOL, i read where the new Athlon 64 3500+ and Athlon 64 3800+ chips run hot as well.

seems as though the review i read is no longer availible. :nope:

prescott don't run any much hotter than any other chip at the same performance level. if you get a mother board not specifically designed for prescott then it is going to run hot. i have a asus p4p800 se that was prescott ready coming off of production. prescott idles at 36C and load of 43C

WTF LOL

That is not correct. The type of mobo has NOTHING to do with Prescott running hot. It's a flaw of the CPU architecture, not incompatibility with motherboards
