service control error

Post by sentra8777 »

My event log said i had a service control error with my cd rom. It said it could be from a failing cable. It seems like my cdrom works fine. This event was logged many days ago. This is the first time i looked in the log in a while. Should i be realy concerned?? Will this harm my computer.

If you CD-ROM works fine, then don't worry about it. There are all sorts of weird "errors" in my log, but I haven't had a problem.

if you have Win2000 Pro or winXP, right click My Computer--->Manage, under system tools select event viewer.
