Major progress with [H] forums!

Post by vinnie »

They've got the u back in the closure notice, it reads "The forums are closed for maintenance!" Rather than "The forms are closed for maintenance!" like it did for a while. Praise the Lord! Praise Jehova! Praise Allah! Praise Buddah! Most of all, Praise Kyle!

On a more a serious note, anyone got any idea on an ETA? Heard any stories? 10 days is overkill, I'm thinking of changing my patronage to one of the other tech sites... reccomendations thereof? I've only heard of Anandtech and Toms Hardware and the latter is usually spoken of through Kyle coloured glasses..

Updated:

The [H]ard|Forum is being upgraded. We do not currently know when it will be back up. If I had to guess, I would say by next week. It will return.

You're all wonderful people and all... but there's about ten of you and any thread requiring attention needs to be posted about in this section to gain it. Whilst lovely people to talk to, I don't want to bother this section with any tech questions I've got. :)

Mm.. software and programming/webmastering work well for me generally, plus if I've ever got a hardware question I can pop it in the appropiate section.

I've had some pretty convoluted and bizarre questions answered over the years, it makes me happy inside :)

Yes and it didn't go over too well.

All of those threads are archived over at genmay.

Gotta say that although upgrading takes sometime to go from vB2 to vB3 this is a bit much. Any ideas what is causing it? Only thing I can imagine is failed database upgrades?
