midi file question

Post by andrew87 »

hi.

i recently got a new phone which supports polyphonic ringtones(midi) and i went to this website and downloaded a few, but when i try to transfer it my phone says the file is to big. most likely becasue these midi files are the full song. so i was wondering if there is a program where i can cut some of the file off or split it????

thanks

drew :)

Install Audacity. Then in the file options chose to load the midi file of your choice. There should be an "eraser" tool somewhere in the program and then just delete the end of the file. Sorry, I don't have handson experience with it... I use another program. Just give it a look. It should be incredibly easy.
