OK, l am going nuts here, not sure if this is the right forum, but I am in DOS and the keyboard will not give me a backslash symbol when I hit the key, it gives me some funky looking e thing, how in the hell do I get the backslash symbol??? I am at witts end here, where the hell is Norm?? Help guys.. :cry:
...If Wile E. Coyote had enough money to buy all that ACME crap,why didn't he just buy dinner???..

No it's the only old style keybaord I have, I know there was another key series that would give you the backslash but it's been so long I forgot.
...If Wile E. Coyote had enough money to buy all that ACME crap,why didn't he just buy dinner???..

Just got another one and the same thing at the A prompt, I hit the backslash key and it gives me a "a" symbol, sorry thought it was a "e" origonally, I need that backslash symbol..

Other than switching keyboards... I don't have a clue as to what is wrong. Let me think for a bit.

Your autoexec.bat or config.sys is probably loading the wrong keyboard driver or language support.

U+005C or (0x5C) is for the reverse solidus in US DOS
according to the character map - I wonder if that would work.
