- DNS CACHE FIX
By default Windows 2K & XP cache everything in the DNS cache service, both correct and faulty DNS lookups. To increase performance by eliminating the caching of faulty DNS lookups, change the following values from whatever their original values are to zero.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Dnscache\Paramet
ers]
"NegativeCacheTime"=dword:00000000
"NetFailureCacheTime"=dword:00000000
"NegativeSOACacheTime"=dword:00000000
^^^ I tried doing it but when I go to that string it doesn't have them to change. How do I add it in?
Also once in a while my Ready light (Verizon DSL) starts to blink.
I lose my connection periodically. <<< This is my main Problem I need fixing for my Cousins computer.
(Specs in Sig ain't the one I need fixing)
Thnx In Advance =)
